Robert Newcomb's The Chronicles of Blood and Stone follow the unfolding story of Prince Tristan the First of the House of Galland and his twin sister Shailiha - The Chosen Ones - who are prophesied to combine the Vigors and the Vagaries of the Craft. After the destruction of all that they hold dear, the Chosen Ones find themselves thrown into a world they hardly know and yet must save. The novels resonate with vibrancy and realism with one of the most interesting and well-developed magical systems to be introduced to the fantasy genre ever.

The Chronicles of Blood and Stone The Destinies of Blood and Stone The Victories of Blood and Stone

For those of you who have read the books but want a refresh of the series before beginning the next book, Rob wrote up summaries for each book: The Fifth Sorceress, The Gates of Dawn, The Scrolls of the Ancients, and Savage Messiah.

Robert Newcomb had a long time to wait to publish his first novel, but it wasn't due to no one looking at it. His first novel started a bidding war between three publishing houses for the Rights to publish it. After a time, Del Rey Books eventually secured the novel along with two sequels. The Fifth Sorceress, Book One in The Chronicles of Blood and Stone, was published June 2002. The Gates of Dawn, the continuation of the storyline begun in The Fifth Sorceress, was published June 2003 in hardcover. The Scrolls of the Ancients, the third book, is now published and in bookstores!

Three more volumes are slated to be released by Del Rey. Savage Messiah, the first book of the three in The Destinies of Blood and Stone series, will continue the story of the Chosen Ones in 2006 followed by two more novels. The Victories of Blood and Stone will be the three book concluding series.
